This workshop is designed to provide First Nations with support and information related to the Nominal Roll and Joint Verification Process.
It will include a review of the Nominal Roll and Joint Verification Process and recent policy changes.
Funding Services Officers and Education Programs staff from Indigenous Services Canada will be available throughout the day to answer questions. Staff from the First Nations Education Steering Committee and the Ministry of Education and Child Care will also be in attendance and available to answer questions.
The First Nations Education Steering Committee is pleased to support Indigenous Services Canada in delivering this event.
Agenda Highlights
- Overview of the 2024/25 Nominal Roll and Joint Verification Process, including the latest updates
- Information about funding flow and related topics
- First Nations representatives will have the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with one of their Funding Services Officers and other supporting staff throughout the day
Schedule
Meeting 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Breakfast (8:00 am) and lunch provided.

Eligibility to Attend
Up to two representatives from BC First Nations and Tribal Councils involved in the submission of Nominal Roll to Indigenous Services Canada and/or the completion of the Joint Verification Process are eligible to attend (e.g., education technical representatives such as the Education Coordinator/Director and School Principal).
Travel
Travel/hotel is reimbursable for up to two representatives per First Nation (Band) or Tribal Council. See the sample claim form (including policies).
